There are many natural supplements for weight loss that can help you to lose weight! The main thing is to use good quality supplements from a reputable company and to determine exactly what works best for you. As a Naturopath, I do a complete evaluation of my clients health and find the best diet supplements for them and their

body type. Products that claim to stimulate or increase your metabolism can be detrimental to your health and should be avoided. Some herbal weight loss programs such as Herbal Life will help you lose weight quickly, but you have to keep taking them and paying a lot of money. As soon as you stop taking them the weight will come back on and then some.

Natural weight loss supplements are simply extra tools for you to use while you follow a healthy diet and exercise. They will support your body's natural process of losing weight by helping you where you need it most.

Start with a detox

Natural weight loss remedies often start with a lose weight with detox plan. Most of us, especially those who are overweight, have a liver that is overworked and needs to be cleansed. This does not need to involve anything drastic. It simply means you follow a healthy diet while taking a product to help your liver get rid of excess toxins that have accumulated over the years. One of the liver's jobs is to help burn fat, and it can not do that properly if it congested!

Psyllium hulls

If you have a hard time getting enough fiber in your diet and you do not have 3 bowel movements per day (this is the norm, one for every meal.) Then taking psyllium hulls would be a very beneficial part of your natural supplements for weight loss. I always recommend that my clients doing a detox for weight loss, take extra psyllium hulls.

  • Gives bulk to the stools to facilitate elimination.
  • Promotes the restoration of healthy bowel functioning.
  • Absorbs toxins from the digestive tract which are then eliminated in bowel movements.
  • Psyllium fibers bind excess fat in the digestive tract, helping to eliminate it from the body. Clinical studies have shown this action helps to lower cholesterol. This also leads to less excess fat being reabsorbed by the body, which may help to control weight.

Green tea diet supplements

Green tea extract is one of the natural weight loss supplements that work. It can help to burn fat and regulate appetite. Studies have shown that taking 3 capsules per day helps to burn fat without increasing heart rate. Green tea supplements also contain powerful antioxidants that are 200 times stronger than vitamin E at neutralizing free radicals. Ensure that your green tea supplement is naturally decaffeinated.

Ginger supplements

There is an old Indian proverb that says, "Every good quality is contained in ginger." Ancient Indians used their native ginger in cooking, to preserve food and to treat digestive problems.

Ginger is also good for weight loss especially for the pear shaped body type. In increases body temperature so it helps helps melt fat and reduce cellulite on the thighs.

Omega 3s

If you are craving fatty foods you could be deficient in healthy fats so taking a good quality omega 3 supplement can help.

  • Do you have symptoms of hypothyroid? You can do a home thyroid test to see if your thyroid is low and if it is, supplements for the thyroid can help.

  • Spirulina or a dense green super food can help alleviate hunger.
  • Licorice extract can be taken short term to help with those who have sweet cravings. It is not to be taken with high blood pressure, diabetes or kidney troubles.
  • If your cravings increase during PMS, balancing the hormones with natural supplements will help.
