

The pear body type, also known as the Gaia type, has a unique way of eating that works best for you. If you’ve tried everything and nothing has worked, it’s because you haven’t yet tried eating right for your specific body type.
You give your body the right foods at the right time
You eat bigger meals when your metabolism is highest
You eat lighter when your metabolism is slower
You balance your glands and hormones so the weight comes off easily — and stays off


The Gaiabody type generally needs more sleep than other types. Energy increases as the day goes on, but those with hypoglycemia may feel a crash around 4 PM. Some get a second wind later at night, but many are in bed by 10 or 11.

Many Gaia body types are in the helping professions: nurses, teachers, social workers, massage therapists.
Relationships, family, and children are very important. You often thrive at home, caring for loved ones.
You dislike conflict, prefer harmony, and value strong, lasting bonds.

You are hard working, perseverant and patient. You have a high sense of responsibility and organization. We can count on you, you are very reliable. You do not like confrontations; you find them a waste of time.
What stresses you; competition, superficial relationships, or relationships that are not harmonious, changes in the program, financial risks, lack of order. You tend toward burn out at work because you work so hard. When your children leave home it is very hard on you.

PMS, endometriosis, fibroids, infertility
Breast or uterine cysts
Varicose veins, cellulite, swollen ankles
Constipation and digestive sluggishness
Fatigue or burnout from over-caring for others


Weight gain on the lower body (hips, thighs, buttocks)
Smaller to medium-sized upper body
Curved lower back, pronounced buttocks
Long-standing cellulite in the lower body
